"Health Care from The Patient's View" - New website, discussion group, and
blog - from LoveAllPeople.org

Alexandria, VA

LoveAllPeople.org announces the creation of a new website, discussion
group, and blog, on the subject of "Health Care From The Patient's View."

"Health Care From The Patient's View offers a wide-open discussion of
health care, from the patient's point of view. Hypothetical medical
situations are presented, and people tell how they would respond to each
situation," says Rev. Bill McGinnis, Director of LoveAllPeople.org. "Many
of these situations and responses originate from the Google group located
at http://groups.google.com/group/patientsview?hl=en Any member of this
group may present situations, and any member may respond to any situation.
The most interesting of these discussions will be summarized and
republished here on this webpage and elsewhere, being placed in the Public
Domain."

"You are invited to visit this group, join it, and participate in these
discussions," says McGinnis. "You are also invited to visit our blog,
"Health Care From The Patient's View," located at
http://fromthepatientsview.blogspot.com/ . This blog will provide a
running commentary on the progress of the Google group and the web pages."

The first medical situation to be considered is this: Situation:
Hit-and-run accident, no insurance, $40,000 medical bill to be paid by
you.

You were seriously injured as a pedestrian in a hit-and-run accident.
The driver has not been located. As a young, hourly, part-time worker,
you have no medical insurance because your job did not provide it, and
you were not married, had no children, and almost never got sick. You
are now able to return to work, at $10.50 per hour. You have just
received a total of $40,000 in medical bills, due on receipt.

What do you do?

"If you are interested in Health Care and Health Care Reform, you can
participate in this important national discussion by speaking out in this
group," says McGinnis. The address is
