The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit;
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried;
He descended into hell;
The third day he rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven
And sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit;
The holy catholic church; *
The communion of saints;
The forgiveness of sins;
The resurrection of the body;
And the life everlasting.

Amen.

* Note: "catholic church" here means the entire body of
believers in Christ, not just one particular church.

Blessings to you in Jesus Christ our Lord,

Scriptures And Teachings -
Christian Teaching: "How To Forgive Other People."
How To Forgive Other People
We Must Forgive Others, And Here Is How To Do It
By Rev. Bill McGinnis, Director - LoveAllPeople.org

Jesus teaches that we must forgive other people if we expect God to
forgive us. Here is a way to do that.

THE EXTREME IMPORTANCE OF FORGIVENESS

The most important thing for a Christian is love. If we love, we must
forgive.

"For all the law is fulfilled in one word,
even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour
as thyself." (Galatians 5:14 KJV)

If we love them, we must forgive them. Just as God loves us and has
forgiven us, we must also forgive them. If we will not forgive others, God
will not forgive us! Simple as that. People who claim to be Christians but
who will not forgive are merely deceiving themselves.
"For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father
will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their
trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
(Matthew 6:14-15 KJV)

Jesus made this very clear in The Parable Of The Unforgiving Servant.

MATTHEW 18:21-35 (RSV)

The Unforgiving Servant

_____________________________________________________________

21
Then Peter came up and said to him, "Lord, how often shall
my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as
seven times?"
22
Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you seven times, but
seventy times seven.
23
"Therefore the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king
who wished to settle accounts with his servants.
24
When he began the reckoning, one was brought to him who
owed him ten thousand talents;
25
and as he could not pay, his lord ordered him to be sold,
with his wife and children and all that he had, and
payment to be made.
26
So the servant fell on his knees, imploring him, 'Lord,
have patience with me, and I will pay you everything.'
27
And out of pity for him the lord of that servant released
him and forgave him the debt.
28
But that same servant, as he went out, came upon one of
his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and
seizing him by the throat he said, 'Pay what you owe.'
29
So his fellow servant fell down and besought him, 'Have
patience with me, and I will pay you.'
30
He refused and went and put him in prison till he should
pay the debt.
31
When his fellow servants saw what had taken place, they
were greatly distressed, and they went and reported to
their lord all that had taken place.
32
Then his lord summoned him and said to him, 'You wicked
servant! I forgave you all that debt because you besought
me;
33
and should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant,
as I had mercy on you?'
34
And in anger his lord delivered him to the jailers, till
he should pay all his debt.
35
So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if
you do not forgive your brother from your heart."
_____________________________________________________________

Here are other Scriptures which emphasize the overwhelming importance of
forgiveness.

Scriptures On Forgiveness (RSV)

Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly
Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their
sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Matthew 18:21-22
Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I
forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?"
Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you up to seven times, but
up to seventy times seven."

Matthew 18:35
"This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you
forgive your brother from your heart."

Mark 11:25-26
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone,
forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven
forgive your sins.

Luke 6:37
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you
will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Luke 17:3
So watch yourselves. "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he
repents, forgive him.

Luke 17:4
If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes
back to you and says, `I repent,' forgive him."

Jesus, Himself, gives us the perfect example of forgiveness. Even as He
was hanging on the cross, He forgave those who were responsible for his
crucifixion, saying "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they
do." (Luke 23:24 KJV)

Search Amazon.com =>

A METHOD OF GRANTING FORGIVENESS
But you may say, "I know I should forgive them, but it is very hard to do.
How can I do it? What should I do?"

Here is a good way to go about granting your forgiveness to others.

First, let me pray for you, to help you grant your forgiveness.

"As You Forgive, So Shall You Be Forgiven"

I pray that you will learn this teaching well,
I pray that you engrave it on your heart.
The Lord has spoken clearly as can be:
"As you forgive, so shall you be forgiven."
* * *
So if someone has done you wrong, forgive!
And if somebody steals from you, forgive!
And if they lie and laugh at you, forgive!
And if they beat you half to death, forgive!
* * *
So when the day of judgment comes for you,
And He reviews the life that you have led,
I pray the record shows that you forgave,
So He can say, "I likewise do forgive."
* *
In Jesus' name I pray for you, Amen.

by Rev.Bill McGinnis, Public Domain

Next, you make a list of everyone you can think of who has ever done you
wrong or aroused anger in you. Call this your "Forgiveness List." On this
list, write down the name of each offender, and a brief description of the
thing(s) he did bad to you.
Then, say this prayer, asking the Lord to help you.

THIS PRAYER IS FOR YOU, YOURSELF, TO PRAY
"To Grant Your Forgiveness"

NOTE: This is a prayer for you to grant your forgiveness
to everyone who has hurt you or has aroused the emotion of
anger in you. You need to make a list of these people,
complete to the best of your ability. If you don't know a
particular name, you may merely describe the situation, like
"The man who ran my car off the road last year, then drove
away." As you are praying, you refer to this "forgiveness
list." You may repeat this prayer whenever you need to.
As a Christian, you never want to hold a grudge against
anyone very long.

* * *

O Lord, I raise my humble prayer to you,
That you might soothe my soul and grant me peace,
For I have burned in anger, raged in wrath.
I have a list where I have written down
The names of those I want now to forgive.

So Lord, I now declare that I forgive
The people who are listed here today.
For every wrong that they have done to me,
I do forgive and blot out of my heart.
For any anger they aroused in me,
I do forgive them, each and every one.
And any others, not upon this list,
I also do forgive them, every one.
I do sincerely promise this to you.

And as I now forgive those listed here,
I pray that you will likewise grant to me,
Complete forgiveness for my many sins.
In Jesus' name I pray to you, Amen.

by Bill McGinnis, Public Domain

Finally, go down the list of people, one-by-one. Deliberately forgive each
person, saying, "In the name of Jesus, I forgive you." Then write beside
each name the words, "I forgive you," and scratch out the name and the
offense(s).
If necessary in the future, make additional forgiveness lists, and repeat
this procedure.

Rededicate Your Life To Jesus Christ - With MP3 Audio Prayer
O Lord, I had You with me, and I strayed.
I turned my back on You and went away.
But now I see the error of my ways,
And now I want to turn again to you.

* * *

I pray that You will come into my life,
As Lord and Saviour, ruling over me.
I know that You are truly Son of God,
I know that You have risen from the dead,
I know that only You can save my soul.
I need Your guidance, and I need Your love;
I want to follow everywhere You lead.
I truly do repent of all my sins;
I feel remorse for evil I have done;
I know that only You can make me clean.
I turn my back on sin and look to You.
I am forgiving all who did me harm,
As You are now forgiving all my sins.
And now as I commit myself to You,
I pray that You commit Yourself to me.
I pray that You will take me as I am,
And draw me, step-by-step, into Your arms.
In Jesus' holy name I pray, Amen.

Benediction

I pray the Lord that He will lead your path
Away from the temptations all around.
I pray that when temptation lingers near,
The Lord will lead you not into its reach.
But if temptation grabs you as you pass,
I pray the Lord that you will struggle free.
In Jesus' holy name I pray, Amen.

Blessings to you in Jesus Christ our Lord.

"Be Still, My Soul"
by Catharina von Schlegel, 1697-?
Translated by Jane Borthwick, 1813-1897

1. Be still, my soul; the Lord is on thy side;
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul; thy best, thy heavenly, Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

2. Be still, my soul; thy God doth undertake
To guide the future as He has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence, let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul; the waves and winds still know
His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.

3. Be still, my soul, though dearest friends depart
And all is darkened in the vale of tears;
Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart,
Who comes to soothe thy sorrows and thy fears.
Be still, my soul; thy Jesus can repay
From His own fulness all He takes away.

4. Be still, my soul; the hour is hastening on
When we shall be forever with the Lord,
When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul; when change and tears are past,
All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.

Scriptures And Teachings -
Christian Teaching: "Love, And Do What You Like."

"Love, And Do What You Like"
This is a revelation to me, and now everything in the Bible makes sense to
me. This is the essential moral precept for all human souls. Love God, as
your Father and your Creator. Love your fellow man as you love yourself.
Get the Holy Spirit within you. Then love, and do what you like. You will
like to do only those things which are pleasing and acceptable to God.
I realize that I will now be parting company with all the legalists among
my fellow Christians. And I am sincerely sorry about that. If any members
of the Chapel list wish to cancel their subscriptions at this time, I will
understand.

But I am on very firm Scriptural ground, on the very highest authority
when I take this position.

MATTHEW 22:35-40 (KJV)
35
Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a
question, tempting him, and saying,
36
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God
with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with
all thy mind.
38
This is the first and great commandment.
39
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy
neighbour as thyself.
40
On these two commandments hang all the law and the
prophets.

This is the joy of total liberty in Christ. Love is the entire point of
everything, love for God and love for our fellow man. All other things are
subordinate to love. If we follow the Holy Spirit within us, which we have
received according to our faith in Christ, He will not mislead us.
"Listen carefully to a brief precept", St. Augustine exhorts, "love and do
what you like" ("In Epist. Ioann Ad Parthos", 7, 8). See
http://www.augustinus.it/latino/commento_lsg/omelia_07_testo.htm

This teaching is not for everybody, only those who are able to receive it.
As Jesus said many times in Scripture, "He who has ears to hear, let him
hear."

But if the Holy Spirit is not yet firmly in control of your life, it is
perhaps better that you remain a legalist, following the letter of every
Biblical exhortation and command.

God's Only Law:
"LOVE ALL PEOPLE AS YOURSELF."
All Other Rules And Commandments Are Subordinate To This One Law,
And They Must Not Conflict With It.

By Rev. Bill McGinnis, Director - LoveAllPeople.org
Search our pages => http://loveallpeople.org/searchallpages.html

The Bible states it very clearly, so there can be no possible
misunderstanding: the Law Of Love fulfills the whole Law of God.

THE LAW OF LOVE
_____________________________________________________________

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, "You shall love your
neighbor as yourself." (Galatians 5:14 RSV)
_____________________________________________________________

And who is your neighbor? Everyone is your neighbor. This is shown in the
Parable Of The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37, shown below). Therefore,
"Love your neighbor as yourself" really means "Love all people as
yourself," because everyone is our neighbor.
But what about love for God? Doesn't that come first? Yes, but God counts
our love for others as if it were love for Himself. So when we love
others, we are loving Him at the same time. This is shown in the Parable
Of The Sheep And The Goats (Matthew 25:31-46, in the Appendix below). And
we cannot claim to love God until we first love our fellow man.

_____________________________________________________________
If any one says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a
liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen,
cannot love God whom he has not seen. (1 John 4:20 RSV)
_____________________________________________________________

But what about The Ten Commandments? Aren't we supposed to obey them? Yes,
but The Ten Commandments are only an approximation of what God wants from
us. The Pharisees obeyed all of the Ten Commandments, yet God was very
displeased with them because they did not have love. The exact thing God
wants from us is that we should love our neighbor as we love ourselves.
Everything else depends on this.

But what about holiness? Aren't we supposed to avoid improper sex, etc.
and be pure and chaste? Aren't we supposed to deny our physical selves in
order to strengthen our spiritual selves? Maybe so, but our feeble
attempts at being holy do not even come close to God's high standards. To
Him, they are like filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). But if we have love for
others, God will overlook a multitude of our sins (1 Peter 4:8). And if we
forgive others of their offenses against us, He will forgive us of our
offenses against Him (Matthew 5:14-15). Love makes everything holy, since
God is love (1 John 4:8, 4:16).

So all of God's requirements for mankind boil down to this one command:
"YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." If you truly do this one thing
only, it is enough. It then doesn't matter if you fall short on some of
the dozens of others. But if you do not do this, all of the others
together are not enough. This is the big one, more important than all the
others combined.

_____________________________________________________________

If you really fulfil the royal law, according to the scripture,
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well.
(James 2:8 RSV)

First Corinthians 13 emphasizes the primacy of love, even over faith
itself.
1 Corinthians 13 (KJC - The King James Bible, Clarified)

The Supreme Importance Of Love

13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have
not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all
mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I
could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.

13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I
give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profits me nothing.

13:4 Love suffers long, and is kind; love envies not; love vaunts not
itself, is not puffed up,

13:5 Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily
provoked, thinks no evil;

13:6 Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
13:7 Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things,
endures all things.

13:8 Love never fails: but whether there be prophecies, they shall
fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be
knowledge, it shall vanish away.

13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in
part shall be done away.

13:11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child,
I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish
things.

13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest
of these is love.

* * *

Other Scriptures also tell us that love for others is the most important
thing.

"Love For Others Fulfills The Law"

Galatians 5:14 (RSV)
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, "You shall love your
neighbor as yourself."
Romans 13:8 (RSV)
Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves
his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
Romans 13:9 (RSV)
The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not
kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet," and any other
commandment, are summed up in this sentence, "You shall love your
neighbor as yourself."
Romans 13:10 (RSV)
Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling
of the law.
James 2:8 (RSV)
If you really fulfil the royal law, according to the scripture,
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well.
Proverbs 10:12 (RSV)
Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.
1 Peter 4:8 (RSV)
Above all hold unfailing your love for one another, since love
covers a multitude of sins.

The Golden Rule Puts The Law Of Love Into Action
If we love other people as ourselves, then how should we treat them? We
should treat them exactly as we would like to be treated! This is the
Golden Rule: "Treat others as you would like to be treated." The Golden
Rule puts The Law Of Love into action.
For more about The Golden Rule, please visit The Committee For The Golden
Rule. For specific ways to follow The Golden Rule, please visit The
Twenty-One Greatest Ideas In Human Relations.

Jesus Christ Makes It Possible To Follow The Law of Love
But what about Jesus? Where does Jesus Christ fit into this picture? If
love for neighbor is sufficient, then why do we need to accept Jesus
Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour?
Jesus Christ doesn't "fit into the picture." Jesus Christ IS the picture,
the perfect embodiment of Love.

By our own flawed human nature, it is almost impossible to love our
neighbor as we love ourselves. Maybe some few people can do it, but most
people cannot even come close. But when we accept Jesus Christ as our
Lord, His Holy Spirit enters us and dwells within us, transforming our
flawed nature into a more perfect nature, more like His own. Only then are
we able to love our neighbor as we love ourselves.

To accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, please visit
Gateway To Jesus. Then please visit Home Page For The New Christian, where
you will find helpful guidance for starting your new life in the Lord.

Blessings to you in Jesus Christ our Lord!

APPENDIX: Parable Of The Good Samaritan, which shows that all people
are our neighbor and Parable Of The Sheep And The Goats, which shows
that God counts our love for others as if it were love for Himself.
LUKE 10:25-37 (RSV)

The Good Samaritan
_____________________________________________________________

25
And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test,
saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal
life?"
26
He said to him, "What is written in the law? How do you
read?"
27
And he answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with
all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your
strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as
yourself."
28
And he said to him, "You have answered right; do this, and
you will live."
29
But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And
who is my neighbor?"
30
Jesus replied, "A man was going down from Jerusalem to
Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and
beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31
Now by chance a priest was going down that road; and when
he saw him he passed by on the other side.
32
So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw
him, passed by on the other side.
33
But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was;
and when he saw him, he had compassion,
34
and went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil
and wine; then he set him on his own beast and brought him
to an inn, and took care of him.
35
And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to
the innkeeper, saying, 'Take care of him; and whatever
more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.'
36
Which of these three, do you think, proved neighbor to the
man who fell among the robbers?"
37
He said, "The one who showed mercy on him." And Jesus said
to him, "Go and do likewise."
_____________________________________________________________

MATTHEW 25:31-46 (RSV)
The Sheep And The Goats
_____________________________________________________________
31
"When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the
angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.
32
Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will
separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the
sheep from the goats,
33
and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the
goats at the left.
34
Then the King will say to those at his right hand, 'Come,
O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for
you from the foundation of the world;
35
for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and
you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
36
I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited
me, I was in prison and you came to me.'
37
Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see
thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink?
38
And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or
naked and clothe thee?
39
And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit
thee?'
40
And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as
you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you
did it to me.'
41
Then he will say to those at his left hand, 'Depart from
me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the
devil and his angels;
42
for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty
and you gave me no drink,
43
I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you
did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not
visit me.'
44
Then they also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see thee
hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in
prison, and did not minister to thee?'
45
Then he will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did
it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to
me.'
46
And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the
righteous into eternal life."

Rededicate Your Life To Jesus Christ - With MP3 Audio Prayer
O Lord, I had You with me, and I strayed.
I turned my back on You and went away.
But now I see the error of my ways,
And now I want to turn again to you.

* * *

I pray that You will come into my life,
As Lord and Saviour, ruling over me.
I know that You are truly Son of God,
I know that You have risen from the dead,
I know that only You can save my soul.
I need Your guidance, and I need Your love;
I want to follow everywhere You lead.
I truly do repent of all my sins;
I feel remorse for evil I have done;

I Have Decided to Follow Jesus

I have decided to follow Jesus,
I have decided to follow Jesus,
I have decided to follow Jesus,
No turning back, no turning back.

Though none go with me, still I will follow,
Though none go with me, still I will follow,
Though none go with me, still I will follow;
No turning back, no turning back.

My cross I'll carry, till I see Jesus,
My cross I'll carry till I see Jesus,
My cross I'll carry till I see Jesus,
No turning back, No turning back.

The world behind me, the cross before me,
The world behind me, the cross before me,
The world behind me, the cross before me,
No turning back, no turning back.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit;
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried;
He descended into hell;
The third day he rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven
And sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit;
The holy catholic church; *
The communion of saints;
The forgiveness of sins;
The resurrection of the body;
And the life everlasting.

Amen.

* Note: "catholic church" here means the entire body of
believers in Christ, not just one particular church.

Scriptures And Teachings -
"The Twenty-One Greatest Ideas In Human Relationships"

Compiled And Edited By Bill McGinnis
Based On Public Domain Sources

Public Domain

1. "LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."
("Be as interested in the other person's happiness and well-being as you
are in your own.")
This is "The Law Of Love," God's most important commandment for all
mankind.

___________________________________________________________

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, "You shall love your
neighbor as yourself." (Galatians 5:14 RSV)
_____________________________________________________________

This is the starting point, the Scriptural Imperative given many times in
the Bible. (See also Matthew 22:39, Mark 12:31, Luke 10:27, Romans
13:8-10, James 2:8, 1 Peter 4:8.)

And who is our neighbor? Every other person is our neighbor. (See Luke
10:29-37 for Jesus' answer to that same question.)

But sometimes, no matter how hard we try, we still don't like the other
person very much, or we still feel anger or resentment. What can we do in
cases like this ?

2. FORGIVE THE OTHER PERSON.
The most troublesome harmful emotion is the emotion of anger. You can
neutralize anger by making a direct conscious decision to forgive the
other person for whatever he may have done to cause you to feel anger
toward him. ("As you forgive, so you will be forgiven." See Matthew
6:14-15)

A method for how to do this is at =>
http://www.loveallpeople.org/pearl-howtoforgiveotherpeople.html

3. TREAT THE OTHER PERSON THE WAY YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED.
This the "The Golden Rule," our most important guideline for dealing with
other people.

_____________________________________________________________

"So whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for
this is the law and the prophets." (Matthew 7:12 RSV)
_____________________________________________________________

This is the most important rule in human relationships. You can apply this
rule to almost any situation, and you will not be far wrong. The Golden
Rule puts The Law Of Love into action.

******************************************************* <><

The remaining eighteen ideas are specific applications of The Golden Rule
to different kinds of situations.

4. SMILE AND BE FRIENDLY.
You like it when people smile at you and behave in a friendly way. So do
the same to them.

5. BE COURTEOUS.
You like it when people are courteous to you. And you dislike it when
people are discourteous or rude to you. So be courteous in all of your
dealings with others.

6. BE TRUTHFUL, WITHOUT GIVING OFFENSE.

7. REMEMBER THE OTHER PERSON'S NAME, AND USE IT FREQUENTLY.
You like it when other people remember and use your name. So do the same
for them.

8. DON'T ARGUE.
Arguments are very negative. They poison good human relationships. You
don't like it when someone argues with you. So don't argue with them. And
if you see an argument coming, take the appropriate steps to neutralize
the argument before it causes too much damage.

9. FIND AREAS OF AGREEMENT.
Relationships are much better when both people focus on their areas of
agreement rather than their areas of disagreement.

Most people agree on more things than they disagree on. So if you focus on
your areas of agreement with the other person, your areas of disagreement
will seem smaller and less important.

10. DON'T CRITICIZE.
Criticism builds hostility and bad attitudes. Criticism is poison to good
human relationships.

You don't like to be criticized; so don't criticize other people. They
don't like it, either. And you won't help accomplish anything good by
criticizing.

As your mother should have taught you, "If you can't say something nice,
don't say anything at all."

11. SHOW HONEST APPRECIATION.
You like it when other people take the time and interest to recognize and
appreciate the good things you do. So do the same for them. Everyone does
some things worthy of appreciation. Find them, and recognize them in the
other person.

12. TRY TO SEE THE OTHER PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW.
You like it when the other person understands your point of view and can
see problems the way you see them. So do the same for him. Try looking at
the situation from the other person's point of view.

13. GIVE YOUR FULL ATTENTION TO THE OTHER PERSON WHEN HE IS TALKING.
You like it when people pay full attention to you when you are talking. So
do the same for them.

14. TALK ABOUT THE OTHER PERSON'S INTERESTS.
You like to have other people talk with you about your interests. So do
the same for them. Find out what things they are interested in, and steer
the conversation toward these things.

15. ADMIT YOU MAY BE WRONG.
This idea is surprisingly powerful and useful!

Here's what to say, whenever there is a disagreement as to a matter of
fact: "Now, I may be wrong about this. I frequently am wrong about things.
But this is the way it appears to me:" (And then state your beliefs.)

By admitting you may be wrong, and by admitting that you frequently are
wrong (You are, you know. We all are.), you almost force the other person
to admit that he, too, may be wrong! Then, with your egos out of the way,
you can both search objectively for the truth!

And if you really are wrong this time, it will be much less embarrassing
for you than if you had been stubbornly insisting that you were totally
right!

16. LET THE OTHER PERSON DO MOST OF THE TALKING.
You like it when people let you do most of the talking. So do the same for
them. It won't hurt you, and you might learn something.

17. LET THE OTHER PERSON TALK ABOUT HIMSELF.
You like to talk about yourself, don't you? We all like to talk about
ourselves! But restrain the urge, and let the other person talk about
himself, instead.

18. LET THE OTHER PERSON TAKE SOME CREDIT.
If something has worked out well, don't grab all the credit for yourself,
even if you think you deserve it all. Spread the credit around, share it
with the other people involved.

19. LET THE OTHER PERSON SAVE FACE.
The expression "saving face" means to maintain dignity, or not to look
like an idiot or a worthless person. Sometimes people do things which make
them look like an idiot or a worthless person. If you can rescue the other
person in such a situation, and help him maintain his dignity, you have
done a very good thing.

And maybe someone will do the same for you some day, when you need it
most! "As you do, so shall it be done unto you."

20. HOLD THE OTHER PERSON, AND YOURSELF, TO HIGH AND NOBLE STANDARDS.
People tend to live up to the expectations others have of them. If you
expect a lot from someone, he tends to give you what you expect. Likewise,
if you expect little from someone, that is what you tend to get.

So act honestly, and expect honesty from the other person; act morally,
and expect morality from the other person; act fairly, and expect fairness
from the other person.

21. GO THE EXTRA MILE.
You are pleasantly surprised when other people do more for you than you
had asked, or more than you expect. So do the same for them: "Go the extra
mile."

* * *

I pray that You will come into my life,
As Lord and Saviour, ruling over me.
I know that You are truly Son of God,
I know that You have risen from the dead,
I know that only You can save my soul.
I need Your guidance, and I need Your love;
I want to follow everywhere You lead.
I truly do repent of all my sins;
I feel remorse for evil I have done;

I Have Decided to Follow Jesus

I have decided to follow Jesus,
I have decided to follow Jesus,
I have decided to follow Jesus,
No turning back, no turning back.

Though none go with me, still I will follow,
Though none go with me, still I will follow,
Though none go with me, still I will follow;

And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit;
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried;
He descended into hell;
The third day he rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven
And sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit;
The holy catholic church; *
The communion of saints;
The forgiveness of sins;
The resurrection of the body;
And the life everlasting.

Amen.

* Note: "catholic church" here means the entire body of
believers in Christ, not just one particular church.

Blessings to you in Jesus Christ our Lord,

Scriptures And Teachings -
The Christian Doctrine Of Universal Salvation

The Christian Doctrine of Universal Salvation, or Universal
Reconciliation, states that all people, no matter how evil they may be,
are created by God; and that God the Father, acting through His Son, Jesus
Christ, will eventually bring all people back to Himself and into Heaven,
by means which we cannot know or understand. After death, each person will
be judged by God according to his deeds.There is punishment for evildoing,
according to God's desire for justice. But this punishment is temporary
and not eternal. Eventually, everyone comes back to God the Father, by
Jesus Christ, His Son.
This doctrine is based firmly on the Bible, as shown below. And it
directly opposes and contradicts the various doctrines of eternal
punishment and damnation which are erroneously held by many other
Christian groups.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: If everyone eventually gets into Heaven, what is the point of accepting
Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour at this time? Why not wait?
A: As soon as you truly accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, your
past sins are forgiven, and the blessings of Salvation begin immediately.
So sooner is better than later.

Q: What about repentance? Don't you also need to repent of your past sins?

A: Yes. But full repentance is not possible until after you accept Jesus,
because you cannot recognize many of your sins until after the Holy Spirit
has come to dwell within you.

Q: But what about the Bible verses which seem to talk about eternal
punishmnet for those who do not accept Jesus?

A: Wherever a Bible word is is translated as "eternal," it is better
translated as "continuous," meaning "continuous for a time," not
"continuous through infinity." Eventually, somehow, everyone will accept
Jesus, and punishment will end for them at that time.

Q: Why should people escape punishment simply by accepting Jesus Christ as
their Lord and Saviour? Where is the justice in this?

A: Sin requires punishment: this is justice. But God is merciful as well
as just. And in His mercy, God has allowed Jesus to die voluntarily on the
cross as punishment and payment for the sins of all mankind. But in order
to receive this merciful gift, each person must accept Jesus as his own
personal Lord and Saviour. Until this eventually happens for each person
-- in this worldly life or in some other kind of existence -- the normal
rules of sin and punishment continue to apply, with the severity of the
punishment being proportional to the seriousness of the sin.

May the Holy Spirit dwelling within you lead you and guide you into His
